Privacy Policy
Your privacy matters to us.
TERREX is a location-based game where you walk or run to claim territory on the map. We only collect the information needed to provide, improve, and secure the app.

Information We Collect
When you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address to create your account. We also collect your device's precise location while an activity is being recorded, along with the resulting route, distance, duration, and map tiles you claim. In-progress recordings are briefly stored on your device so they can be recovered if the app closes unexpectedly.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to power core gameplay — recording activities, drawing routes, calculating distance and tile claims — as well as to maintain leaderboards, keep your account and progress in sync, and improve the app's reliability. We do not sell your personal information or location data, and we do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
Location Information
Location is only collected while you have an activity recording in progress. This includes brief background collection — for example if you lock your screen or switch apps mid-run — so your route stays accurate.
Data Sharing
Your display name, avatar, tile ownership, and leaderboard rank are visible to other players, since Terrex is inherently social and competitive. We use Google Sign-In for authentication and standard cloud infrastructure for hosting; these providers process data on our behalf only and may not use it for their own purposes. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Your Choices
You can revoke location permission at any time through your device settings, though this will prevent new activities from being recorded. You may also request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account and data at any time.
